TL;DR

Triage Analyst (Healthcare): Reviewing and processing high-volume healthcare complaints for HHS/OCR with an accent on HIPAA compliance, federal civil rights regulations, and jurisdictional assessment. Focus on drafting detailed case documentation and ensuring adherence to established case resolution guidelines.

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

Salary: $28 - $30.50 per hour

What you will do

  • Independently review high volumes of complaints to identify violations of HIPAA and federal civil rights regulations.
  • Provide initial recommendations for administrative, non-investigative case closures using established guidelines.
  • Draft precise case processing documentation ensuring strict adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Conduct training sessions for new staff as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Apply knowledge of court decisions, agency precedents, and compliance principles to enforcement work.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent federal experience (GS-11 level or higher).
  • Experience in case/complaint review, particularly concerning HIPAA or patient privacy violations.
  • Proven ability to determine jurisdiction and manage intake for federal policy violations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
