What you will do

• Lead the development of the company's AI/ML engineering platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and flexibility.
• Design the architecture and lead the implementation of AI/ML infrastructure and cloud-native services.
• Partner with information security and SRE teams to ensure data privacy and meet SLOs.
• Define the technical vision and long-term strategy for AI/ML infrastructure to serve business needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, upholding high DORA metrics.
• Create and execute roadmaps, project plans, and manage financial responsibilities for the AI group.

Requirements

• 15-20 years of software design and development experience at a large scale.
• Strong development skills in Java and Python.
• Deep expertise in building supervised/unsupervised ML models and Big Data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud architecture (AWS and Azure).
• Broad understanding of distributed computing frameworks like Ray and Spark.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Portland (ME), or Boston

Nice to have

• Experience using LLM models and Reinforcement Learning.
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker.
• Background or understanding of payment organizations.
