What you will do

• Lead the development of document processing pipelines for medical records, claims, and benefits data.
• Design and implement agentic workflows to review and validate millions of healthcare claims annually.
• Drive innovation in prompt development, RAG, multi-modal LLMs, and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end AI systems.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for designing production-grade AI systems and setting technical direction.
• Strengthen system reliability and scalability by addressing critical infrastructure needs and technical debt.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building agentic systems or AI-driven workflows in an enterprise setting.
• Strong programming expertise in Java and Python.
• Experience designing and scaling large-scale distributed systems and productionizing AI/ML techniques (LLM prompt engineering, RAG).
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, asynchronous programming, and system design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Scala.
• Proficiency with big-data tools and frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, or Ray.
