Lead Product Architect (AI)

Location: Coppell, Texas, United States; hybrid with 8 days per month onsite

Salary: $107,500.00–$188,400.00 USD, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Define end-to-end product architecture, technical vision, reference architectures, standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Lead architecture reviews and critical technical decisions across multiple products, platforms, and engineering teams.
• Design and govern AI-enabled products, intelligent workflows, agentic systems, conversational experiences, LLM integrations, semantic search, vector databases, and RAG solutions.
• Champion Spec-Driven Development and Agentic SDLC practices, including AI-consumable specifications, architectural guardrails, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Lead legacy modernization, cloud migration, API strategy, microservices adoption, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Guide proof-of-concepts, AI-assisted development adoption, technical mentoring, and cross-functional architecture discussions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale software products and platforms, with expertise in application architecture, solution architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, event-driven systems, microservices, platform architectures, enterprise integrations, and complex system landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, observability, performance, maintainability, and operational architecture.
• Expertise with Azure and cloud-native application and platform services.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Platform Engineering, containers, Kubernetes, service meshes, and enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development, generative AI application architecture, agentic systems, AI orchestration frameworks, RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, AI safety, governance, responsible AI, Spec-Driven Development, and Agentic SDLC.
• Strong architectural leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, communication, analytical thinking, and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Ability to lead architecture initiatives across multiple teams and product areas.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, AI, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including 5+ years as a Solution Architect, Product Architect, or Principal Architect.
• Experience with .NET, Angular, MS SQL, Oracle, AI/ML-enabled products, enterprise AI platforms, LLM-powered solutions, application modernization, legacy transformations, enterprise SaaS, and cloud-based software products.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, ArchiMate, Kubernetes, Azure AI Engineer Associate, AI Architecture, Prompt Engineering, or Generative AI certifications.
