What you will do

• Carry out mains and service cable jointing on electrical distribution networks (DNO).
• Supervise Jointers Mates and provide personal supervision and training for Apprentices.
• Perform connections onto distribution and private networks associated with DNO unmetered supplies.
• Drive general and specialist vehicles appropriate to the role.
• Ensure personnel under control understand and follow job requirements.
• Complete work safely by taking ownership of personal and team health and safety, including PPE use, and carry out risk assessments.

Requirements

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or Street lighting and LV services training programme.
• C&G 236 Part 1 and Part 2 (or equivalent) with extensive and proven relevant trade experience.
• 18th edition BS7671 wiring regulations qualification; previous Full G39 qualification.
• Current NRSWA accreditation and electrical knowledge to C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates; understanding of operational and 1:500 electrical network diagrams.
• CSCS accreditation and a current full driving licence.
