What you will do

• Act as the Authorising Engineer High Voltage (AEHV), carrying out competency assessments and accreditation for personnel.
• Manage and approve site-specific HV local instructions, schematics, and safety inspections.
• Oversee AC/DC live working authorities and conduct annual competency assessments for engineers.
• Act as the Authorising Engineer Pressure (AE-P) for licensing activities related to PSSR 2000 regulations.
• Manage environmental compliance for fuel systems and power apparatus, supporting ISO certification and audits.
• Investigate electrical and health and safety near-misses and conduct post-incident reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in England or Wales with a Full Driving license for frequent travel.
• BPSS Clearance eligibility is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Power domain (within the last 10 years), including DC Power, UPS, and Standby generators.
• Mandatory certifications: C&G 2382 (Current Edition), Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and Emergency aid.
• At least 5 years of recent experience as an Authorised Person or Competent Person HV.
• Mandatory qualifications in NEBOSH (Environmental Management), IOSH (Managing Safely), and Legionella control.

Nice to have

• Current accreditations in Live Working, AP/CP HV, and PSSR.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health.
• C&G 2392 Standards training.
• Vocational training certificate for drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods (ADR).
• F-GAS class 1 training.
