What you will do

• Lead the design and plan preparation for both highway and local road projects.
• Conduct internal quality reviews to ensure all plans meet the highest technical standards.
• Provide professional guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to support their growth.
• Collaborate on the preparation and negotiation of project fee proposals.
• Manage project schedules, develop construction cost estimates, and ensure timely delivery of submittals.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and presentations.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or University.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
• Proficiency in roadway design plans, with NCDOT design experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and NCDOT standards.
• Expertise in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and overseeing timelines.
