What you will do

• Design horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, signing, and pavement markings for transportation projects.
• Perform safety assessments and develop erosion and sediment control plans.
• Prepare construction-related documents and detailed technical reports.
• Conduct field reconnaissance and site inspections.
• Develop schemes for the maintenance and protection of traffic.
• Collaborate with team members and attend professional meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation concentration) from an ABET Accredited College.
• 0 to 5 years of professional experience.
• EIT Certificate (or the ability to obtain it within 12 months).
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Charlotte, NC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• PE License.
• Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling software.
• Previous experience working with NCDOT.
