TL;DR

Head of Business Operations (Marketplace): Managing marketplace health and strategic growth across the US and Canada with an accent on supply-demand balance and cross-functional project execution. Focus on synthesizing quantitative insights into actionable recommendations and leading a team of operations specialists to drive hyperlocal performance.

Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to New York City (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $170,000 - $200,000

hirify.global is a marketplace app connecting businesses with unsold surplus food to consumers to fight food waste.

What you will do

  • Monitor and optimize marketplace health at national and city levels to balance supply and demand.
  • Lead high-priority cross-functional projects and take accountability for critical business metrics.
  • Develop and operationalize regional strategies to achieve North American growth goals.
  • Synthesize data insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Business Operations Managers and Specialists.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop operating forecasts and long-term business plans.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in high-performance environments such as consulting, investment banking, or high-growth tech marketplaces.
  • Proven track record of people leadership and managing performance.
  • Experience leading complex projects and owning revenue or growth goals.
  • Strong data analytics, visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce, Looker, or SQL.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to drive operational efficiency.
