Location: On-site in Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support provided.

Salary: €8,000 – €14,000 net per month + 13th salary

What you will do

• Review existing technological strategy and build a comprehensive technology roadmap.
• Execute a metrics-driven hiring plan to build a lean, high-throughput automation and backend engineering team.
• Develop backend triage pipelines and AI-driven deflection mechanisms to automate issue resolution.
• Lead the zero-to-one design and implementation of internal high-throughput chat moderation and inference pipelines.
• Modernize workflows to automate fraud detection and eliminate raw SQL investigation bottlenecks.
• Manage technological risks and ensure all systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering background with experience building large-scale, high-availability services.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams from a small base (1 to N).
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message-queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis streams).
• Deep system-design capability and confidence to act as the final technical authority.
• Pragmatic "build vs. buy" decision-making skills focused on tangible business value.
• Experience owning the full people management loop, including hiring and performance management.

Nice to have

• Domain knowledge of MMO / 4X strategy games and mobile live-ops.
• Experience onboarding and managing 3rd-party technology vendors.
• Experience reporting directly to non-technical operational or business stakeholders.
