Location: Temporary Remote with mandatory future relocation to Limassol, Cyprus

What you will do
- Design and build production ML services, including APIs and microservices.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers.
- Drive architectural decisions for low-latency and high-load systems.
- Integrate ML models into user-facing applications.
- Implement best practices for serving, versioning, and monitoring models.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and MLOps teams to optimize the production pipeline.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in a Senior or Lead role.
- Strong commercial experience with Python.
- Proven managerial experience leading engineering teams.
- Expertise in system design, microservices, and high-load architectures.
- Experience developing APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or gRPC.
- Must be able to relocate to Cyprus.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time ML systems (recommendations, ranking).
- Background in video streaming or high-throughput platforms.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud/on-prem environments.
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow) and feature stores.
