Team Lead (Software Engineering)

Location: Onsite in Limassol, Cyprus, with relocation support and a 3-year Cyprus work visa

What you will do

• Lead daily operations, workload planning, sprint execution, and delivery tracking for a cross-functional engineering team.
• Run team rituals including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and grooming sessions.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, career plans, compensation discussions, and team development.
• Coordinate priorities, dependencies, breaking changes, and stakeholder communication across product, project, technical, and engineering teams.
• Identify and mitigate delivery, knowledge, staffing, and technical risks, including bus factor and knowledge silos.
• Define team and product metrics, improve processes, measure adoption, and support successful process innovations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time against business goals.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, architecture, engineering practices, task decomposition, estimation, and prioritization.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, delivery and quality metrics, dependency management, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, career planning, and constructive feedback.
• Strong communication, mediation, decision-making, and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Hiring process

• HR interview lasting 45 minutes.
• Team and Process interview followed by a Business and Technical interview, each lasting 60 minutes.
• Possible final cultural fit interview and Q&A lasting 60 minutes.
