What you will do

• Design innovative, scalable AWS cloud solutions and maintain architectural governance for data platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring alignment with quality standards and cost constraints.
• Lead the resolution of technical issues and risks, collaborating with the Technical Design Authority (TDA).
• Conduct gap analysis and develop proof-of-concepts for new technology alternatives.
• Oversee solution development and implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with procurement and Managed Service Providers to select and review packaged software solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Cardiff, UK.
• Proven experience designing and building complex cloud-hosted data platforms on AWS.
• Strong proficiency in DevOps/DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating IaaS and SaaS/DBaaS solutions such as Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and experience with modern methodologies like TDD and Agile.
• Hands-on expertise with ETL/ELT pipelines and high-volume analytics systems.
