What you will do

• Build and scale Android automation frameworks from scratch using Kotlin and Espresso.
• Maintain and expand iOS automation suites using XCUITest and Swift.
• Define mobile automation strategy and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate releases.
• Improve test coverage and reliability while debugging flaky tests and automation failures at scale.
• Partner with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure high-quality user experiences.
• Evaluate and introduce new automation innovations, including AI and intelligent testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Software Engineer in mobile (Android-focused) environments.
• Proven experience building scalable Android automation frameworks from scratch using Kotlin and Espresso.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture (MVVM, Jetpack, lifecycle).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and device farms (Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm).
• Ability to collaborate across teams and take end-to-end quality responsibility.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Mountain View, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose testing.
• Cross-platform exposure with iOS (XCUITest).
• Experience testing real-time/streaming applications or AI/ML-based features.
• Knowledge of API and backend validation for mobile flows.
