TL;DR

Graduate Python TD (Python): Developing and maintaining art tools and production pipelines for an immersive game development studio with an accent on Python-based tooling and technical art support. Focus on delivering new features, triaging pipeline issues, and implementing software development best practices within a collaborative studio environment.

Location: Cambridge, UK. Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in studio) or full onsite. Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Maintain and extend existing Python-based tools and production pipelines.
• Implement new features under the guidance and mentoring of senior team members.
• Support artists and technical artists by triaging and escalating pipeline issues.
• Write clear, well-documented code following established studio standards.
• Participate in code reviews to improve coding practices and learn best practices.

Requirements

• Solid Python programming knowledge, demonstrated through academic or personal projects.
• Experience in tool development or asset creation.
• Exposure to 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Houdini.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
• Exposure to software development best practices, including testing and CI/CD.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of PyQt or PySide.
