What you will do

• Lead wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and vegetation mapping across California and the Western US.
• Conduct special-status species surveys and biological reconnaissance for utility, water, and energy projects.
• Develop biological resource analyses for CEQA and NEPA documentation, including impact assessments and mitigation measures.
• Interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations, including CESA, ESA, and the Clean Water Act.
• Prepare permit applications and technical materials for review by agencies such as USACE, CDFW, and USFWS.
• Provide technical consulting to clients and internal teams regarding biological constraints and project planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of environmental consulting experience, specifically focused on biological resources in California.
• Proven experience with CEQA and NEPA documentation and biological resource analysis.
• Working knowledge of California and federal biological regulations (CESA, ESA, CWA).
• Proficiency in field data collection, ArcGIS, and CAD.
• Ability to travel up to 25% throughout California and the Western US for fieldwork.
