What you will do

• Supervise the daily editorial vision, suggesting stories and guests for the show.
• Manage the live show from the control room during regular programming and breaking news.
• Directly manage, coach, and mentor members of the show staff.
• Supervise and copy edit scripts for segment producers.
• Lead production of content for digital platforms, social media, and DTC products.
• Write and produce segments as needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of editorial experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Proven experience developing producer talent.
• Significant control room and breaking news experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional working experience.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be based in Washington, D.C.
