What you will do

• Design and develop AI-enabled services and applications using Python and cloud-native architectures.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI, Bedrock, and Claude into production systems.
• Build scalable microservices and REST APIs to support intelligent automation and AI-driven workflows.
• Develop data pipelines for processing structured and unstructured healthcare data.
• Optimize AI-powered applications for performance, reliability, and scalability in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and AI requirements into deployable technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing or deploying AI-enabled applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs and AI APIs into production-ready systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated environments (healthcare or federal systems).
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
• Knowledge of LLM orchestration frameworks or agent-based architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration technologies.
• Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) projects.
