Salary: $100,200 – $148,320 USD (California) / $75,700 – $112,060 CAD (Ontario)

What you will do
- Define complex user flows, information architecture, and interaction models to prioritize player engagement.
- Build interactive prototypes to test and validate features and mechanics before full production.
- Plan user testing and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to iterate on design logic.
- Proactively audit the game to identify friction points and drive solutions balancing player delight and business goals.
- Own the creation and evolution of the Figma Design System, maintaining a scalable library of components.
- Lead the end-to-end UX process for assigned feature pods, from discovery and wireframing to post-launch iteration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in game development specializing in UX.
- Deep understanding of user psychology, mental models, and player motivations.
- Mastery of advanced Figma features including Variables, Tokens, Auto Layout, and Component Properties.
- Ability to articulate complex design logic to stakeholders and build consensus.
- Strong personal passion for games and ability to deconstruct game mechanics into intuitive flows.
Nice to have
- Experience working within Unity (UGUI) for asset handoff and UI polish.
- Skill in UI Art creation, including high-quality icons and buttons.
- Ability to author functional UI animations to demonstrate interaction feel.
