What you will do

• Design and develop backend RESTful API web services using Microservices architecture on AWS.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and support groups.
• Oversee and mentor other developers and perform comprehensive code reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems.
• Lead the development of new functionality within cross-functional Agile project teams.
• Establish and maintain high software quality standards and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of software development tools and system architecture.
• Ability to translate market requirements into software product designs.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java 17+ and SpringBoot RESTful API development.
• Experience deploying and maintaining software on AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of message streaming solutions like Kafka, AWS Kinesis, SQS, or SNS.
• Experience with datastores such as AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Experience working within a Scrum framework.
