What you will do

• Research and catalogue Contemporary and Modern art objects, including physical inspection, documentation, and provenance research.
• Prepare footnotes, essays, and talking points for each work in the sale catalogue.
• Create detailed condition reports and facilitate conservation projects.
• Coordinate with Operations and Catalogue Production to ensure seamless photography and layout processes.
• Assist the department with valuations, data entry, and day-to-day sale preparation.
• Provide comprehensive client support, managing queries and executing bids at sales.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milan, Italy
• 1+ year of experience in the art world (auction house experience preferred).
• Strong general knowledge of Contemporary and Modern Art.
• Excellent writing, proof-reading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in a stressful environment and meet frequent deadlines.
• Professional and discreet client service skills.
