Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK (Hybrid: 1 day in office every two weeks)

What you will do

• Build and maintain modern, performant, and accessible full-stack web applications.
• Develop and integrate backend APIs and distributed systems to support search and personalization features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
• Utilize experimentation and analytics to guide engineering decisions and improve business outcomes.
• Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure and modern engineering practices.
• Explore AI-assisted engineering and agentic coding workflows to enhance developer productivity.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
• Experience building scalable full-stack applications and customer-facing platforms.
• Knowledge of backend API development and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to make pragmatic engineering decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from the Manchester office.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, .NET, and AWS.
• Familiarity with observability tooling.
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering and modern developer tooling.
