What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and web services that scale to handle large traffic volumes.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product owners to integrate backend services into the overall architecture.
• Implement security best-practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Optimize database queries and I/O operations for PostgreSQL and Neo4j.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot system failures and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software design and application development experience.
• 3+ years of backend web application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Python, or Go for scalable web services.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and graph databases (Neo4j).
• Must be authorized to work and reside in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
• Ability to pass a criminal background investigation.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
• Experience in penetration testing or administering Active Directory/Azure.
• Comfort contributing to open-source projects.
