Data Scientist III (AI/ML)

Location: Remote

Salary: $63–$72 USD; final pay depends on experience, skills, geographic location, industry, and education.

hirify.global is a diagnostics company developing genomic, clinical, bioinformatic, and AI-enabled cancer tests to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment decisions.

What you will do

• Analyze real-world insurance claims and EHR data to identify treatment patterns, clinical events, and management costs.
• Identify cancer progression and treatment events using CPT, NDC, and ICD codes, structured databases, and free text.
• Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate regression, and survival modeling.
• Visualize findings and communicate results as clear, coherent data stories.
• Support the development of digital pathology AI models.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians, statisticians, and medical experts on manuscripts.

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or an equivalent field, or a master’s degree with at least four years of relevant post-graduate experience.
• Experience working with real-world insurance claims and EHR records.
• Expertise in SQL and R or equivalent tools, including data cleanup, manipulation, and visualization.
• Proficiency in survival modeling, hypothesis testing, and multivariate regression with interaction effects.
• Experience with cloud computing environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics, genomics, and cancer biology.
• Research experience in urological oncology, bioinformatics, digital pathology, or related fields.
• Experience developing AI models such as LLMs, vision models, or time-series foundation models.
