Location: Hybrid: Must be based in London (3 office days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

What you will do

• Acquire, retime, convert, and conform subtitles and SDH from external sources in various formats and languages.
• Create and QC subtitles and templates for translation using professional software according to company style guides.
• Investigate subtitle streaming reports and resolve issues through direct fixing, delegation, or reporting.
• Perform final technical checks on in-house created subtitles.
• Broaden accessibility coverage, specifically SDH, across a wide range of content.
• Support the development of company standards and documentation for subtitling operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience using advanced tools such as Subtitle Edit, EZTitles, or Ooona for VOD, theatrical, or broadcast.
• Strong grasp of subtitling industry standards and accessibility requirements in the VOD sector.
• Excellent standard of written English.
• Genuine passion for film and a high level of film knowledge.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive approach to creative problem-solving and learning new technologies.

• Proficiency in a second language.
• Interest in linguistics.
