Salary: $255,000 - $320,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own external communications for Claude’s inference and reliability story across launches, milestones, and ongoing updates.
• Develop high-level narratives and technical translation that make production performance, capacity, and reliability understandable and credible.
• Create messaging frameworks for complex technical topics without losing substance for developers, customers, and press.
• Lead communications response when engineering issues require coordinated cross-functional action.
• Partner with product on decisions impacting users and brand, bringing communications considerations early.
• Coach engineering and product leaders to serve as effective spokespeople for press, podcasts, panels, and other moments.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of communications experience focused on infrastructure, engineering, or technical products.
• Strong ability to write accurately and with discipline around complex technical concepts and sensitive topics.
• Curiosity about how customers experience performance, capacity, and reliability.
• Experience owning external communications for technical audiences and staying fluent in where technical conversations happen (e.g., developer forums, X, Hacker News).
• Ability to move fast, think critically, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of traditional media and emerging platforms used by technical communities.
• Existing relationships with reporters and analysts covering AI, engineering, or developer ecosystems.
• High-agency, low-ego approach with a bias to action.
