Location: Columbia or Lexington, South Carolina; relocation to the Columbia or Lexington, SC area is required; initially remote, transitioning to hybrid with in-office presence 3 days per week

What you will do

• Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, closings, and journal entries.
• Perform tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and tax research across multiple tax phases.
• Prepare Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate tax returns.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners, managers, clients, and assigned accountants; support ad-hoc assignments and special projects.

Requirements

• CPA or CPA candidate
• At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Proficiency with UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
