What you will do

• Ship across the entire stack, including agent development, backend services, infrastructure, and frontend interfaces.
• Build and distribute internal AI agents to automate repeatable engineering tasks.
• Design and operate distributed systems using AWS, EKS, Clickhouse, and Kafka against production SLAs.
• Define the context, permissions, and tooling required for AI-native engineering workflows.
• Drive technical decisions on storage schemas, API contracts, and multi-tenant scalability patterns.
• Collaborate with research and systems-internals engineers to productionize new software.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Prolific experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode.
• Proven track record of building data-intensive distributed systems at scale.
• Deep understanding of streaming, batching, backpressure, and consistency models.
• Strong proficiency in Rust (preferred) and Python.
• Production experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and event streaming (Kafka).

Nice to have

• Background in real-time monitoring or observability infrastructure (e.g., Datadog, Honeycomb).
• Experience with high-throughput systems like high-frequency trading or real-time telemetry.
• Knowledge of AI infrastructure, inference pipelines, or agent orchestration.
• Prior experience as a founding engineer or in early-stage startups.
• Deep OS internals knowledge (eBPF, Windows ETW, Apple ESF) or cross-platform expertise.
