Senior Signal Integrity and EMC Engineer (Automotive)

Location: On-site in Foster City, CA

Salary: $196,000 - $236,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and validation of vehicle-level signal integrity, grounding, and shielding strategies.
• Define RF performance requirements and specifications for transmitters, receivers, and antenna systems.
• Perform SI/PI simulations and analysis for critical high-speed interfaces and power distribution networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams to implement best practices for signal integrity, RF design, and EMC.
• Develop and execute validation plans for radiated and conducted emissions and immunity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SI, RF, and EMC issues discovered during design and in-fleet operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on Electronics Design, Electromagnetics, or RF/Wireless.
• 10+ years of experience in signal integrity, RF design, and/or EMC validation of electronic systems.
• Understanding of CISPR, ISO, SAE, FCC, and UNECE EMC standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and high-bandwidth Oscilloscopes.
• Experience with high-speed digital electronics design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Ability to work on-site in Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with automotive signal integrity and EMC validation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard SI/PI and EM simulation tools.
• Familiarity with automotive high-speed protocols and wireless technologies.
