Senior Signal Integrity and EMC Engineer (Automotive)

Base salary: $193,000–$267,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead vehicle-level signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMC strategies across electrical and electronic systems.
• Define RF performance requirements for transmitters, receivers, and antenna systems installed in vehicles.
• Perform or oversee SI/PI simulations, high-speed interface analysis, power distribution analysis, and in-vehicle RF simulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and lead reviews to identify and resolve technical vulnerabilities.
• Develop and execute validation plans covering signal integrity, wireless performance, radiated and conducted emissions, and immunity.
• Troubleshoot complex signal integrity, RF, and EMC issues during design, validation, and fleet operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with coursework in electronics design, electromagnetics, or RF/wireless engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in signal integrity, RF design, and/or EMC validation of electronic components and systems.
• Knowledge of CISPR, ISO, SAE, FCC, and UNECE EMC standards and regulations.
• Experience using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
• Experience with high-speed digital electronics design, schematic capture, and PCB layout best practices.

Nice to have

• Hands-on automotive signal integrity and EMC validation and countermeasure experience.
• Proficiency with industry-standard SI/PI and electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Familiarity with automotive high-speed protocols and wireless technologies.
