What you will do
- Lead timely and accurate valuation reporting for US Stat and GAAP reserves and related actuarial items.
- Oversee the delivery of annual actuarial filings and manage regulatory inquiries with precision.
- Guide quantitative teams in transforming data management, production, and valuation processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, ERM, Investments, Tax, and Audit to provide actionable financial insights.
- Drive the analysis and implementation of valuation methodologies and ensure alignment with emerging regulations.
- Manage and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or data science.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in valuation, reporting, life pricing, or risk management.
- 3+ years of experience with valuation regulations and financial statements under US Statutory and GAAP reporting.
- Must be based in or able to work from Boston or Springfield, MA.
Nice to have
- Master's Degree or above in a quantitative field.
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) qualified to issue actuarial opinions.
- Deep knowledge of PBR (Principles-Based Reserves) and GAAP LDTI frameworks.
- Proven experience in leadership, change management, and driving continuous improvement.
