What you will do

• Lead genomic safety assessment packages, including off-target discovery, verification, and validation.
• Apply in silico tools and biochemical methods (SITE-seq, CIRCLE-seq, etc.) to evaluate off-target effects.
• Drive off-target confirmation using sequencing-based approaches such as AmpSeq and rhAmpSeq.
• Assess genomic integrity using karyotyping, optical genome mapping, and whole genome sequencing.
• Evaluate genotoxicity risks associated with next-generation editing technologies like base and prime editing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and present complex data findings to scientific project teams.

Requirements

• B.S. with 5+ years, M.S. with 3–7 years, or Ph.D. with 2–4 years of industry experience in genomics or molecular biology.
• Hands-on experience in off-target assessment and genomic safety evaluation for gene editing therapeutics.
• Strong working knowledge of CRISPR-based genome editing technologies and NGS workflows.
• Familiarity with base editing, prime editing, and associated genotoxicity considerations.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical genome mapping using the Bionano platform.
• Understanding of regulatory expectations for IND/BLA submissions.
• Exposure to human diversity-informed off-target methods such as ONE-seq.
