What you will do

• Support analytical validation through planning and laboratory execution of characterization studies for automated NGS workflows.
• Develop SOPs, experimental protocols, and technical reports for the Design History File.
• Procure and qualify clinical test samples for validation studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, bioinformatics, and regulatory groups.
• Troubleshoot molecular biology techniques and optimize assay performance under high-throughput conditions.

Requirements

• PhD in biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of biotech industry or postdoctoral experience.
• Hands-on experience with NGS and analytical methods like qPCR, Tapestation, or Fragment analyzer.
• Experience working under Design Control and Quality Systems in regulated product development (LDT, IVD, PMA, or 510(k)).
• Strong background in molecular genomic technologies (DNA/RNA).
• Must be able to work onsite in South San Francisco.
