What you will do
- Maintain quality standards through recording and audio repair techniques including equalizers, compressors, and noise reduction.
- Mix and fix audio and video podcasts using DAVID Systems MTE and AVID Pro Tools.
- Support live events at HQ alongside Audio Engineers.
- Participate in audio equipment installation and repair tasks.
- Assist with inventory and storage management projects.
- Collaborate with editorial and technical colleagues in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
- Formal education in audio production (broadcast, post-production, live sound, etc.).
- Experience with AVID Pro Tools.
- Solid grasp of audio engineering fundamentals and signal flow.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be based in Washington, D.C. for on-site work.
