Studio Tech Intern

TL;DR

Studio Tech Intern (Media/Sports): Supporting production crews in set-up, audio/video operations, and media management for regional sports broadcasts with an accent on live event coverage and studio operations. Focus on gaining hands-on experience with production equipment, assisting technical directors, and contributing to the execution of field operations.

Location: Must be willing to work on-site in San Francisco, California

Compensation: $19.61 per hour

What you will do

• Assist production crews with set-up and strike for remote sports productions at major Bay Area venues.
• Support audio and video operations for pregame and postgame studio shows.
• Aid the media management team with ingest of studio shows, interviews, and historical footage.
• Operate studio cameras and perform stage management duties as needed.
• Shadow and assist Videographers, Technical Directors, and Audio Engineers.
• Contribute ideas to optimize field operations and network day-to-day tasks.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited degree-granting program (September 2026 – April 2027).
• Must be presently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be available to work 16–24 hours per week in San Francisco.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (minimum 30 credits).
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Nice to have

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of RF and wired microphones, IFB, and PL systems.
• Experience with production control room automation.
• Familiarity with Bay Area sports.
