TL;DR

Recording Engineer (ProTools/ADR): Record VO, lip-sync dialogue and songs with or without video reference according to client specifications with an accent on editing audio files, ensuring dialogue sync and timing, and flagging issues. Focus on problem-solving technical errors, maintaining production schedules, and monitoring audio quality consistency.

What you will do

• Record VO, lip-sync dialogue and songs in studio or remotely according to client specs
• Edit audio files to remove noise and irregularities, ensure lip sync and timing
• Flag recording issues and report source material problems promptly
• Problem-solve software/technical errors in remote sessions
• Work with schedulers and directors to meet production schedules
• Monitor audio quality, back up projects daily, and verify production instructions

Requirements

• Familiarity with recording ADR, Dubbing or Animation
• Proficient in Mac with ProTools, including hardware like compressors, mics, AD converters
• Knowledge of SessionLink or Source Connect for remote recording
• Familiarity with audio formats (.wav, .mp3, .ptx, .omf) and studio techniques
• Ability to identify and solve technical problems with equipment
