What you will do

• Architect multi-agent systems for the Text-to-Spaceship pipeline using LLMs and RAG.
• Translate physical constraints (mass, thermal, radiation) into AI guardrails and prompt contexts.
• Implement automated CAE/FEA workflows for autonomous design validation.
• Develop integrations between AI agents and engineering tools (CAD, FEA, CAM) via MCP.
• Deploy and scale AI workloads on AWS using containerized architectures.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance and pipeline reliability.

Requirements

• Must be located within 100 miles of Alexandria, VA or Philadelphia, PA.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or space sectors.
• Strong fundamentals in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and Materials Science.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services.
• Experience with CAD/CAE scripting APIs (e.g., Fusion 360, ANSYS, SolidWorks).
• Deep understanding of LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with agentic libraries like Pydantic AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning or uncertainty quantification.
• Contributions to open-source AI libraries.
