AI Engineer II (AWS)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $125,000 – $145,000

What you will do

• Implement AI-enabled features and simple RAG/agent workflows.
• Design, build, test, and deploy small services and maintain their CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations to diagnose and fix issues for owned components.
• Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver scoped solutions.
• Mentor AI Engineer I teammates.
• Contribute to design reviews and propose team process improvements.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work with LLM or AI-enabled features.
• Proficiency in Python (async patterns), FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and pytest.
• Experience building and deploying services on AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway).
• Production experience consuming LLMs (Claude via Amazon Bedrock or Anthropic API) and building basic RAG/agent features.
• Experience with production data layers (Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres/Aurora) via async SQLAlchemy.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with data warehouse engineering (Snowflake).
• Knowledge of NoSQL / document databases (MongoDB).
• Frontend development skills (React 19, TypeScript).
