What you will do

• Drive innovation and quality in AI systems and the characters players interact with.
• Own and develop core AI systems, including supporting tooling and scripting systems.
• Collaborate with design and content teams to translate gameplay needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor other engineers in AI system development and general engineering practices.
• Maintain high technical standards through rigorous code reviews and peer feedback.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of C++ and professional debugging experience.
• Strong expertise in AI technologies such as combat behaviors, character perception, decision-making, and ambient life.
• Experience with navigation systems, 2D/3D pathfinding, and AI locomotion.
• Proficiency in mathematics, specifically trigonometry and linear algebra.
• Proven track record of shipping AAA titles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across animation, design, and technical art disciplines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI systems in multiplayer game environments.
• Knowledge of gameplay animation concepts like motion matching, IK, and finite state machines.
• Experience with physics middleware such as Havok or PhysX.
• Experience with in-house engine development and extending scripting systems.
