What you will do

• Lead technical initiatives for designing and automating global network infrastructure focusing on Layer 2/3/4 of the TCP/IP stack.
• Develop and maintain software, codebases, and tooling to implement Network Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Collaborate within a distributed environment to improve platform resilience and operational excellence.
• Prevent repeated customer impact by managing major incidents and prioritizing problem management.
• Grow and mature multi-cloud network infrastructure across various cloud service providers.

Requirements

• Excellent networking skills with deep knowledge of IP/IPv6, TCP/UDP, BGP, and DNS.
• Strong technical depth in automating networks using Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency with public CSP network components including Load balancers, VPC peering, Transit gateways, and VPN connectivity.
• Proven Site-Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience with a track record of operational excellence.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane, software routers, or automated IP address management (IPAM) tools.
• Knowledge of overlay networks using encapsulation protocols like IPSec, GRE, and VXLAN.
• Experience building Kubernetes-at-scale infrastructure and knowledge of Cilium CNI.
• Ability to write non-trivial programs in Golang or other programming languages.
• Experience with the hirify.global Stack (hirify.globalsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for diagnosing issues.
