What you will do

• Lead and manage a department of 15–20 developers across four teams, mentoring team leads.
• Drive the technical roadmap, including the Node.js pilot program and platform re-architecture.
• Remove administrative bottlenecks to maximize developer focus and flow.
• Embed AI tools into workflows and coach teams on AI-driven efficiencies.
• Ensure the product roadmap is delivered on time with high standards for stability, security, and performance.
• Coordinate urgent technical issues and high-stakes deployments across the business.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role (Head of Development, Engineering Manager, or similar).
• Proven track record of managing 15–20+ developers and QA engineers.
• Deep hands-on experience with PHP/Laravel and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience with successful platform transitions, framework migrations, or modular architecture shifts.
• Expertise in AI-driven workflows and mentoring teams to integrate these tools.
• Must be based in the UK and eligible to work full-time.
