What you will do

• Operate hydroelectric power plants through regular monitoring and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve alarms to minimize facility downtime.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Coordinate with the 24/7 remote operations center and interface with external consultants and suppliers.
• Support capital projects, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and corporate health and safety policies.

Requirements

• Journeyman certification (Millwright or Electrician) or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Strong safety mindset with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical safety standards.
• Basic computer skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Corinth, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with hydroelectric operations, PLCs, and high-voltage substations.
• Familiarity with turbine systems, governors, and hydraulic power units.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
