What you will do

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and integration services for the Skylar AI platform.
• Establish integration standards for authentication, versioning, and schema contracts for internal teams.
• Develop secure APIs using token-based authentication (JWT/OAuth 2.0) and implement RBAC models.
• Integrate enterprise SSO protocols like SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect with providers such as Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity.
• Build and maintain containerized services on Kubernetes with secure secret and configuration management.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design documentation, including RFCs and ADRs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of backend or integration engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask) and/or Go.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise APIs, RBAC models, and multi-tenant access patterns.
• Expertise with SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern CI/CD practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled, agentic, or LLM-driven systems and service integrations.
• Familiarity with API gateways, rate limiting, and token validation patterns.
• Exposure to ClickHouse or other analytical databases.
• Background in observability, infrastructure tooling, or AIOps platforms.
