What you will do

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, generators, valves, and chemical feed equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery to determine necessary repairs using hand and power tools.
• Complete work orders in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Respond to emergency service requests and participate in on-call rotations.
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators and dump trucks for plant operations.
• Maintain facility grounds and perform manual labor as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with the ability to read and comprehend technical instructions in English.
• Must possess a valid NC driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Six months to two years of experience in a related maintenance position.
• Proficiency with power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols including confined space entry.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving climbing, stooping, and kneeling.

Nice to have

• NC Water Distribution and/or Collection System certification.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems.
