AI Engineer (Python)

TL;DR

AI Engineer (Python/GCP): Developing and scaling contact centre AI solutions with an accent on Agentic AI, RAG, and LLM integration. Focus on building production-grade AI agents, optimizing model observability, and implementing continuous improvement loops.

Location: Hub-based hybrid. Must be based in or within commuting distance to Bristol, Glasgow, or London (office attendance at least once a week).

Compensation includes an on-target bonus of 15% and 9% Flex Pay.

What you will do

• Build and scale contact centre AI solutions within a cross-functional team of Data Scientists and Engineers.
• Develop Agentic AI solutions including tool calling, RAG, and fine-tuning of LLMs.
• Implement feedback loops, online/offline evaluation methods, and A/B testing for model improvement.
• Own model observability, cost management, performance, and efficient deployments.
• Shape target architecture and design robust AI development pipelines and processes.

Requirements

• Experience deploying production-grade AI inferences with high scalability and reliability.
• Fluency in Python, SQL, and Terraform.
• Experience in repeatable cloud infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in software engineering, software testing, and continuous integration.
• Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience within the energy sector or contact centre operations.
• Commercial experience deploying and monitoring customer-facing Generative AI models.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI for autonomous applications.
