What you will do

• Design and build robust backend systems, including high-availability services, data pipelines, and orchestration layers for a clinical AI platform.
• Develop scalable, event-driven architectures to support customer-facing features and internal platform capabilities.
• Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and performance across distributed environments.
• Own observability, monitoring, and fallback strategies to maintain high system uptime.
• Collaborate with AI, Clinical, QA, and Security teams to deliver safe, compliant, and production-ready systems.
• Validate and take ownership of AI-generated code to ensure correctness, safety, and performance.

Requirements

• Strong background in backend engineering with experience building high-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python, including frameworks such as FastAPI and asynchronous programming models.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and scalable system design.
• Strong understanding of databases, caching, message queues, and streaming systems.
• Familiarity with cloud and DevOps tooling such as GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) is highly beneficial.
