What you will do

• Maintain the firm's general ledger and accounting records using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare detailed cash management reports.
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reports for firm leadership.
• Coordinate client billing and collections processes, monitoring work-in-process (WIP) balances.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Islandia, NY, USA from 8:30am to 5:30pm ET.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a CPA, tax, or professional services firm.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess Practice Management.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with payroll processing and multi-entity accounting.
