Senior Network Engineer (Industrial AI Cloud)

Location: Košice, Slovakia. Remote working is available only within Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.

Salary: From €1,850 gross per month; final salary is negotiable and includes a variable component and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Build, provision, maintain, and automate network components including InfiniBand switches, Ethernet/RoCE fabrics, firewalls, routers, and border gateways.
• Coordinate network lifecycle activities such as installations, upgrades, changes, firmware updates, interconnections, and documentation.
• Develop automation scripts and implement configuration management, release management, testing, and deployment activities.
• Maintain network operating systems and firmware, manage patching at scale, and implement monitoring and observability.
• Follow and improve ITIL incident, problem, and change management workflows, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with data center, infrastructure, platform, and AI solution teams; provide customer consultancy and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience with network installation, maintenance, operations, data-center routing, BGP/OSPF, ASNs, IP transit, peering, and failover connectivity.
• Experience configuring NVIDIA/Mellanox switches, managing UFM, Linux networking, FortiGate firewalls, security segmentation, and high-speed InfiniBand/RoCE fabrics.
• Experience with switch provisioning, firmware and operating-system upgrades, patching, configuration backups, and Linux administration.
• Programming and automation skills with Go, Python or Bash, plus Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Helm, Git-based automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of software-defined networking, Grafana, Prometheus, InfiniBand, RoCE, and AI/HPC networking; familiarity with NOC/SOC operations and on-call rotations.
• English at B2 level is required. German is an advantage.
