TL;DR
Senior Network Engineer (Data-Center Networking): Owning and evolving the network fabric behind a backup platform that moves billions of objects through high-throughput data-center, edge, and connectivity systems with an accent on routing, segmentation, load balancing, and reliability. Focus on designing traffic management, building network automation and observability, and solving bottlenecks across imperfect networks and remote regions.
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; hybrid working model

What you will do
- Own and evolve the data-center network architecture, including fabric design, routing, and segmentation.
- Design and operate load balancing, ingress, and traffic management for a platform moving data at scale.
- Define network reliability standards, runbooks, and change-management practices.
- Build network automation and observability, treating the network as code with visibility into every hop.
- Manage VPN connectivity for remote-region administration.
- Collaborate with SRE, development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks before incidents occur.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, network reliability, or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching at scale, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VXLAN/EVPN.
- Strong Linux networking fundamentals, including the kernel network stack, iptables/nftables, and tc.
- Experience with load balancing and reverse proxies such as Nginx or HAProxy.
- Proactive approach to identifying technical gaps before they become incidents.
- English is the primary collaboration language; the CV must be submitted in English.
Nice to have
- Network automation with Ansible, Terraform, or vendor APIs and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Kubernetes networking experience, including CNI, service mesh, and ingress controllers.
- Network observability and flow-analysis experience with sFlow, NetFlow, or eBPF-based tools.
- Experience with DDoS mitigation, firewalling, perimeter security, or multi-data-center and hybrid-cloud networks.
