Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

What you will do
- Evaluate patient safety reports and facilitate investigation and action-planning for events of harm, precursors, and near misses.
- Conduct Apparent Cause Analyses (SWARM), Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and participate in Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities before harm occurs.
- Analyze event data to identify patterns and trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Educate clinicians and staff on high reliability principles, human-centered resilience engineering, and situational awareness.
- Collaborate across clinical and operational teams to design and implement projects that reduce preventable harm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or health sciences field (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, respiratory therapy).
- 3+ years of clinical healthcare experience.
- 1+ year experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and/or performance improvement.
- Experience facilitating patient safety investigations (ACAs/SWARMs, RCAs, case reviews).
- Experience with data use, trending, reporting, and leading change initiatives.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a clinical or health sciences related field.
- CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) or CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) certification.
- Experience with HEDIS, NCQA, CMS, or value-based care.
- Experience working specifically with a pediatric population.
