Internal Auditor (Finance)

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Dallas, TX. Workplace is primarily onsite (5 days/week) with limited flexible remote options.

What you will do

• Perform corporate audits, advisory reviews, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) testing for business and IT general controls.
• Conduct data analyses using business tools to evaluate risk and support audit conclusions.
• Execute property site reviews during due diligence periods to support growth through acquisitions.
• Lead audit assignments and collaborate with stakeholders to identify procedural issues and recommend efficiencies.
• Manage special examinations and projects regarding conflicts of interest or financial irregularities.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of internal audit, financial, or operational experience.
• Strong SOX background with experience in end-to-end 404 compliance activities.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
• Ability to travel domestically 10-20% annually.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications: CPA, CIA, or CFE.
• MBA degree.
• Experience auditing in an ERP environment, specifically SAP.
• Experience with automated workpaper systems like AuditBoard, Workiva, or Diligent.
